Cheyenne's Stage Stop opened its doors to customers over 40 years ago as a small hamburger stand in Riverkern.  It was sold some years later and the new owners expanded and turned it into the popular dinner house it is today.  Known for its rustic atmosphere, casual dining, great food, and friendly staff, Cheyenne's has a reputation for being one of the best dining halls in the Kern River Valley.  The dining room is filled with antiques.  Even the windows, which were removed from the old KR1 Power Plant right here on the Kern River,  are over 90 years old.  Cheyenne's has attracted many television and film stars and it remains a favorite dining place for the locals as well as the tourists that stop by for a visit in the Kern River Valley.
